This is a MUCH smaller seat than most I have seen out there for toddlers. There is no back to the seat, and no straps so it really is a "booster" seat only. However my three-year-old daughter, who is average size, barely fits in and it actually HATES it because it is so small. For the price, you're much better getting a baby-to-toddler seat with tray and straps than this one. It'll probably work if you have a very small child and small chairs, but my average-sized dining table and chairs are too big for it.

This booster seat is just what I was looking for for my 3 year old. He is independent enough that he can get himself in and out if the seat so I didn't want something that strapped him in. It is also stable and sturdy enough with the strap that goes around the seat. The strap is very easy to tighten and should fit most kitchen or dining chairs. It is has rubber grips over the whole bottom so it shouldn't scratch a chair. I live that there are no grooves on the chairs surface for food crumbs to get caught in. I also love that the chair isn't bright colors with smiling animals all over it. It is subdued and beautifully designed in a way that makes it visually appealing and doesn't detract from decor. The height of the booster is also great. Really, there aren't enough good things I can say about this booster. I was skeptical at first to spend this much money when others are cheaper, but I'm glad I went with this, as I think this will be the only booster we need. (Before using this booster, we put my son in the high chair without the tray at a lowered height and would push it up to the table).

This booster does its job!I got this for our four-year-old daughter, and to have around when little friends come over. It has worked very well.The height is good -- providing just the right boost. There is no padding, but the seat is still very comfortable because the plastic is flexible and slightly springy.The surface cleans very easily, as it does not contain any fabrics or porous materials. It also helps that the entire surface of the seat is one piece of plastic, with no spaces for food and dirt to get caught in.The base of the seat has numerous rubber pads that keep it very firmly in place, even on a smooth wood chair. There is also the additional security of a chair strap that can be wrapped around chair that the booster is sitting on. There is a convenient knob mechanism for retracting the chair strap so it is not hanging loosely (great if you travel with the seat). In most cases, we have not needed the extra chair strap. I've tested it, and even with great force it is impossible to make this chair slide.There is a built-in handle at the back of the chair, making it easy to pick it up and head out with it. Because the chair strap retracts into the seat, the whole unit is very compact while traveling.Finally -- and this is an aesthetic judgement -- the seat looks cool. Kind of has a sleek, clean, modern appearance.Definitely recommend this as a main booster seat, or as a spare for traveling.
