By ananda01
I bought these for my newborn, since they are supposed to start from 7-8 pounds. However, since they have snaps, there is no way to adjust the leg size, unlike Thirsties covers or Bumgenius one-size that have velcro. With velcro you can just pull the velcro tighter, even overlap the flaps to get the legs tighter. For a tall skinny baby with thin legs, like mine, it leaks everywhere since the legs can't fit. Also, the inserts are really bulky, just like the regular bumgenius insert, but without a newborn option like what they come with. These seem great and I so want them to work, but we're going to have to wait until she grows. For now we're using prefolds with Thirsties Duo wraps since they are smaller and have leg gussets and velcro to get a better fit, Thirsties Duo Wrap Snap, Meadow, Size One (6-18 lbs)and then we're using regular Bum Genius 3.0 one-size diapers bumGenius One-Size Cloth Diaper Blossomsince they can fit more tightly.*edit* Even at 11 pounds, the legs on these still don't fit our tall thin baby.*edit* at 13 pounds, these now seem to fit, though the legs could be a bit tighter, they aren't leaking. Since we had to change to the regular size inserts in her bumgenius 3.0 diapers, these Flips are now trimmer than those, and so we have grown to prefer them. We would still like the legs to fit better like Thirsties, but washing just inserts is so easy, we'll definitely be using them from this point on.

By SKSK
My search started when I was pregnant with the second one. I read that the regular diapers take more than 100 years to decompose and the number of diapers that babies use over the course of 2.5 to 3 years weigh over a ton! I wanted to see if there is a way we can save earth AND cut costs. Did you know that we spend close to $3K in diapers? This money could go into his/her college fund!Anyways, long story short, after a long search, I found flip to my delight! I bought this at a local store and wanted to try it for 30 days. The initial investment was about $200, but after using it for 3 months, we got the money's worth and continue to reap the benefits (Calculated with the average price we pay for regular diapers in retail stores). The absorbency is just great(better than regular diapers). No leaks. In fact, I had leaks with regular diapers when I used them.Easy to clean poop with the handheld spray (which is a must for cloth diapers).Diapers come out clean from the washer and once dried are ready for next use.Have been using Flip for 9 months now and no major issues. I wanted some extra covers and diapers and so bought 2 more of the flip day pack. In total, I have about 4 pairs of diaper covers and about 24 stay dry inserts and they last for 3 days now before a wash.My family and also my baby care taker love this product! They are so amazed at how we can reuse these over and over again. All in all, I would highly recommend this product!

By M. Hseu
I am new to cloth diapering, and I did a lot of research before buying Flip. It's a great system to start CD. Love the stay dry insert. The only compliant I have is that the insert is too bulky. My 4 months old was learning how to roll, and she couldn't do it with this on.
