I just bought this blanket as a thinner/softer summer alternative to my daughter's 4-layer aden+anais muslin blanket, and have been quite pleased with other aden+anais products so far. Much to my disappointment and suprise the blanket came out of the very first wash with a very unsightly pilling and looked quite shabby and out of shape. While it's still usable, it already looks old and worn-out. This should not be happening to a $50+ blanket and I am contacting tne manifacturer and Amazon and will try to return it. I should have read the other reviews pointing out to this problem more carefully, I guess.Update 5/18Amazon promptly sent a replacement which washed very well, without pilling or the other issues mentioned above. Actually, after the wash it looked better than out-of-the-box.I also contacted a+a customer service who responded immediately and said this blanket might have come from a faulty batch. They asked me to email them a couple of pictures of the item and the serial number and sent a complimentary blanket as well which I haven't washed yet.Overall, excellent customer service by both Amazon and aden + anais, and the replaced product was as good as expected. I'd recommend it strongly as a spring/fall blanket and my daughter loves it too. Still giving it 4 and 1/2 stars though given the hassle.

Beautiful baby blue/pink blanket. Very soft! Very large size 49"x51". Big enough to cover me and my toddler. Thin and lightweight. Once folded it does not take up a lot of space. The A+A bamboo dream blanket is even softer than the A+A muslin dream blankets. Have both and love both.

First let me say that there is NOTHING like the bamboo dream. It is so unbelievably soft and amazing and no other blanket compares. However, I was really bummed the first time I washed and dried and the thing was covered in pills and snags. I will say that Aden and Anais customer service is fantastic and when I contacted them, they promptly sent me a replacement. Now I just wash it on gentle and hang them to dry because they really truly can't take the dryer. The original dreams are nowhere near as soft but are much more sturdy!
